Tagged and ungagged

For the first tag...surprise surprise Urmi, I have a 23rd post, after all! And the 5th line(assuming it's different from the 5th sentence,as there isn't any in my post!!) is: PS: Of course, I'm a primeval being, hence, agree with Orwell, almost completely.

And here's my 55 words (and it's exactly 55!!):
A cherubic smile on her impish face, she tiptoed into the dark, gloomy room, where the listless body of her mother lay in eternal rest, lowered her face and planted a long hard kiss. Probably hoping, she could wake her up to play a round of ring-a-ring-a roses, with her and Dad, one last time.

OK, thats just the saddest story :( I think therapists would salivate over these 55-word fiction thingies, man they talk of our subconscious better than anything else!

Absolutely! And like u didn't know, I could anyday be a therapist's delight;)

Saw on Arnab's blog that you're coming to Cal.

Presumptuous request - if you'll be here for a few days, could you please bring "If on a winter's night"? Intriguing title, couldn't find it in Oxford. Or post about it, at least?

I've started a blog that is collecting all the 55 word stories. Can I use yours?

@J.A.P: I went, I never saw, and I came back. Sorry, just checked my blog today after returning frm a whirlwind tour of Cal and Puri. My Cal trips are usually, what my Ma rightly calls "jhaanki dorshan". Anyway, I know "If on a winter's night a traveller" is a very very rare book and an excellent one at that. Question: Do u want me to lend it or do u want a copy for yrself? On principle, I'm not lending mine (an-ex-colleague lost it on the Metro once, and she went to the end of the earth to get it for me again, so i don't want to part with it again)But can get u a copy definitely, jodi pai. Next time niye jabo, but how do I give it to u? I'll be in Cal again in Nov (if all goes well), so let me know.

@ Ani: If u consider my 55 words worthy enough, will be absolutely honoured, syaaaar. And if u don't..like i said, next time I'm in Cal...toke dekhe nebo;)
