Weekend

Like I said the last time round, I'm still a novice, not to mention a whole load lazy too. So it's taking me some time to become a regular at the blogger' s spot.
It was one of the laziest weekends I've sent in B'lore in along time. Took my Dad for an "English" breakfast at Peco's, Banglore's oldest and most chilled out pub...but he ended up eating Appam and chicken stew...simply awesome. Of course Neil (my one and only awesome hubby) and I stuck to our prudish selves and ate the English variety of brown bread, sunnyside up, mashed potato, cocktail sausages and bacon. All of us refrained from the beer..Neil's a teetotaller, Dad just had a bypass and I hate beer...the only form of alcohol that sucks!

I' ve been to pubs in Bangalore. What I hate about them is the quality and intensity of music played.. believe it is assumed that the crowd will appreciate the genre of music played..

They sure have a character of their own, but I kinda prefer the quaint , simple village side more.
For eg, the hills / plains of Chotanagapur / Santhal Paragana / Palamau appeal to me greatly, but given the state of affairs in Jharkhand, believe I'll never be able to go back to my childhood days , reclining on an armchair under a mango tree in Simultala duirg one of those Kali Puja chuttis.

All the same, cheers to ur brunches in Bangalore pubs

Hi Rums,
I have also spent my childhood in Bihar-in Patna. Yes, I have been to Maithon, but I prefer Simultala (Santhal Parganas)and Mcklucskigung (Palamau) more..these places were like 'Where civilzation and naivete blend'..wish I could go there durign Pujas or Kali Puja.. but now it's too risky, especially with family.
Where was your schooling?
